indirizzato a strip men professionisti e non.<br />Negli ultimi anni la manifestazione ha avuto alta risonanza a livello mediatico; tv e giornali non mancano di interessarsi agli sviluppi sia a livello regionale che nazionale.<br /><br />Il 15 maggio presso il Seven Days di via Schiaffino, 32 a Genova Quarto si svolgerà la Prima Edizione Ligure del concorso Mister Strip Italia. L’evento è organizzato dal gruppo creativo “Disegual, la notte” in collaborazione con La Wanda Gastrica, Genovagando.it, Tutto Uomini.it, Pier Pour Hom.<br /><br />La serata avrà inizio alle ore 22 e sarà presentata dalla nota drag queen La Wanda Gastrica affiancata dalle colleghe Alexia e Carramba con sorpresa.<br />I concorrenti dopo un’iniziale sfilata introduttiva si sfideranno in una gara all’ultimo strip cercando di conquistare i favori del pubblico e della giuria tecnica. Al termine della serata il vincitore si aggiudicherà un viaggio offerto da Genovagando ed un contratto lavorativo con il gruppo Disegual.<br /><br />Il primo classificato rappresenterà la Liguria alla Finalissima che si svolgerà a Bologna nel mese di ottobre. Diego Claudio, giovane barese che da alcuni mesi si è trasferito a Genova, fa la Drag Queen: «lavoro così tanto che non avrei tempo per dedicarmi ad altro», spiega lui, drag da dodici anni. «Tutto è nato per gioco: facevo l’animatore turistico e mi sono accorto che, nei piccoli spettacoli che organizzavo nei villaggi, i miei ruoli femminili erano i più apprezzati». Poi sono arrivati i piccoli ruoli al cinema, le conduzioni di alcuni magazine nelle tv locali e l’esperienza alla radio.<br />Diego, che è venuto a trovarmi in redazione in jeans, maglietta e occhiali da sole sulla testa, durante i suoi spettacoli si trasforma fino a diventare una donna di nome Wanda, anzi<a class="txtArancio" href="http://www.lawandagastrica.it/"> La Wanda Gastrica</a>, una drag queen ammirata anche da Regina Miami, vincitrice del concorso Miss Drag Queen Italia e punto di riferimento per molte drag nostrane. «Il nome del mio personaggio è nato pensando a Wanda Osiris, di cui mi adoro l’eccentricità, e al mio atteggiamento che, sul palcoscenico, è piuttosto acido: dico le cose come stanno», racconta Diego.<br />Tra i modelli di Diego non c’è solo la Wanda nazionale, ma anche donne come Alessia Marcuzzi e, prima su tutte, Simona Ventura: «sono toste e sanno quello che vogliono, proprio come me». E Platinette? «mi piace la sua testa, anche se la sua sofferenza e la sua insicurezza non mi appartengono».Diego e la Wanda, però, non si assomigliano per niente: «Diego è associale e non ama esporsi. Quando mi vesto da Wanda cambia il mio atteggiamento e mi permetto di dire cose che nel quotidiano non oserei dire mai. È bello poter essere, quando voglio, una persona diversa: la Wanda è la mia valvola di sfogo».<br />La Wanda, però, vive solo durante l’esibizione: «c’è chi identificata la drag queen con il travestito. Spesso non è così: io, ad esempio, non sento il bisogno di truccarmi e vestirmi da donna nel corso della giornata. Mi travesto per lavoro, un po’ come fanno gli infermieri quando indossano il loro camice. Il mio è solo un po’ più colorato…». Dopo lo spettacolo Diego non vede l’ora di togliersi i tacchi alti: «se dovessi indossarli per tutta la giornata non mi sentirei a mio agio», scherza.<br />Grazie alla collaborazione con <a class="txtArancio" href="http://www.travelgay.it/">Travel Gay</a>, il tour operator genovese specializzato in viaggi e vacanze esclusivamente omosessuali, è iniziata lo scorso gennaio l’avventura ligure di Diego-La Wanda Gastrica, che oggi è la punta di diamante delle <a class="txtArancio" href="http://www.atlantisnight.it/">serate Atlantis</a>, organizzate presso il Seven Days di Tiziana Bonfante (Quarto, via Schiaffino 32) dal Gruppo di Animazione Artistica Disequal: «si tratta dell’unico spettacolo di drag queen di Genova, ed è stato da subito un successo». Ogni venerdì partecipano alla serata circa duecento persone tra giovani, anziani e famiglie con i bambini. Lo spettacolo infatti non è dedicato ad un pubblico esclusivamente gay: «certo, le nostre serate sono friendly, ma adatte a tutti».<br />La Wanda Gastrica, presentatrice e cantante, lascia spazio all’improvvisazione con giochi e interazione con il pubblico (chi vuole infatti può partecipare al karaoke). Alle 23 inizia il Drag Show vero e proprio: «quattro drag interpretano canzoni in playback e dal vivo: io amo molto i live anche se, per far spettacolo, essere una drag queen basta e avanza. Ogni venerdì c’è un tema diverso: il 24 aprile sarà la volta dei cowboy».Il successo genovese di Diego è stato talmente grande che una gelateria (Capriccio, in via di Porta Soprana) le ha addirittura dedicato un gusto di gelato: la titolare Germana, fan sfegatata della Wanda Gastrica, ha creato per lei un sorbetto dal colore viola scuro (colore distintivo della Wanda) composto da mirtillo e spumante, ed una crema di pistacchio con mascarpone variegato con arancio e torrone. Diego sarà anche uno dei volti ufficiali di <a class="txtArancio" href="http://www.mentelocale.it/societa/contenuti/index_html/id_contenuti_varint_23013">Genova Gay Pride 2009</a>.<br />Giovedì 23 aprile inizia il concorso Una Voce per Genova, organizzato e condotto da Diego Claudio in versione La Wanda Gastrica. Il concorso, giunto alla sua quarta edizione, vedrà sfidarsi sessanta aspiranti cantanti. Le selezioni, che saranno guidate da una giuria tecnica e da quella popolare, avranno luogo ogni giovedì.
